Pemeliharaan Generator Set Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Diesel (PLTD) Kairatu Menggunakan Metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

This study discusses the maintenance of generator sets at the Kairatu diesel power plant (PLTD) where the Kairatu PLTD itself supplies electricity to four feeders, namely the kairatu, rumakay, waisarissa, waiselang feeders. Power plants also use diesel engines as the starting propulsion which functions to produce the mechanical energy needed to rotate the generator's rotor to generate electricity. This study itself aims to find out how often maintenance is often carried out on generators and what components are often maintained on PLTD Kairatu. The results of the study show that the generator set in PLTD Kairatu with various problems is caused by an ineffective maintenance schedule. Downtime that often occurs in critical components of the Generator is the cooling system and lubrication system that is most at risk.
